Conditional Use Permit

271 Riverside Dr. Lynchburg, Virginia 24503

Miller Home for Girls is currently seeking approval of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for its new location on Riverside Drive in Lynchburg.

After initially being advised in September 2025 that a permit would not be required, Miller Home was informed on January 12, 2026 that a Conditional Use Permit would be necessary. In response, our team acted immediately, completing and submitting all application requirements by January 20, 2026. We remain committed to working collaboratively with the City and being a respectful, responsible neighbor in the Riverside community.

Approval of this permit is critical. It would allow Miller Home to serve up to eight girls at a time and provide safe housing, stability, and individualized care to those who need it most. Without approval, we would be limited to serving only four residents, significantly reducing our ability to respond to community need.

Miller Home is 100% privately funded and exists to ensure that no girl is turned away due to her circumstances. Every available bed represents a life that can be supported, stabilized, and given a path forward.

We are grateful for the community’s continued support as we pursue this opportunity to serve more girls in a safe, nurturing environment.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss and share more about the mission of Miller Home and this important step in continuing and expanding care for vulnerable girls in our community.
