Calandre (Calie) Eager
Miller Home is excited to announce the addition of Calandre (Calie) Eager, LPC, as the next Executive Director of Miller Home, effective December 2026.
Calie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than nine years of experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families across school-based, community mental health, and hospital settings. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in 2017 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2021.
Since 2022, Calie has worked with a nonprofit organization providing school-based mental health services throughout Central Virginia. In her roles as Clinical Staff and Program Director, she has provided Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT), outpatient counseling, and grant-funded behavioral health services while collaborating closely with schools, families, and multidisciplinary community providers to support high-risk youth.
In November, Calie will present at the Virginia Counseling Association conference in Norfolk, Virginia, on the importance of collaboration among mental health services.
We are especially excited to welcome Calie at this time as Miller Home prepares for an important new chapter. As part of a carefully planned leadership transition, Calie will join Miller Home in October, allowing her to work alongside current Executive Director Morgan Kane Ryan for several weeks before assuming the role of Executive Director in December. This intentional overlap will provide an opportunity for Calie to become familiar with Miller Home’s programs, staff, residents, board, and community partners while ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition in leadership.
As Morgan prepares to step down from her role for maternity leave at the end of the year, the timing of this transition allows Miller Home to approach this season with confidence, continuity, and a strong plan for the future. Morgan will continue working closely with Calie throughout the transition period to help ensure the organization is well-positioned for continued success.
Calie is looking forward to serving the girls of Miller Home and building upon the strong foundation already in place. She is passionate about empowering young people to develop self-efficacy, strengthen self-esteem, and experience a supportive community environment where they can grow and thrive.
We are grateful for Morgan’s leadership and nearly 12 years of dedication to Miller Home and are excited to welcome Calie as she steps into this next chapter of leadership. We look forward to the experience, perspective, and passion she will bring to Miller Home and the girls we serve.
Please join us in welcoming Calie to the Miller Home family!
