$62 Christmas Challenge, Changing Lives...One Girl at a Time
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am writing to thank you for bringing smiles to the girls, giving the girls a safe place to live, dropping off household items, filling the house with food and encouraging the girls to do well in school. You have been invaluable to our mission, since opening our doors in 1875, “providing girls, ages four to twenty-one that cannot live with their families a supportive, non-institutional environment that encourages each girl to grow and develop to her highest potential”.
The Miller Home holds a license from the Department of Social Services and does not accept any Federal, State of local funding.This means, that Miller Home, is dependent upon the generosity of donations and kindness of our local businesses, community members and YOU!
To be honest, 2023 has been a record low donation received year that could impact the future of Miller Home for Girls.
The Board understands that most costs have increased and money is tight for many.The costs have increased at Miller Home and budget line items have become even tighter, too.For this reason and during the holiday season, the Board of Directors is setting a Christmas Challenge of $125,000.This challenge is asking anyone that receives this letter to join the Board of Directors and pledge $2.00, per day, for the month of December (31 days), equals a donation total of $62.00 for the month.
If every person that opens this letter gave only $62.00 for the month of December, the Challenge will reach its goal.The Christmas Challenge of $125,000 would help cover all expenses (except wages), as we start the New Year. By donating to Miller Home, during the month of December, we can continue to care and serve all the girls that walk through the doors, daily.
Miller Home appreciates any amount you can contribute, to help fund the day to day operations, weather it is slightly less or even higher than $62.00.Help 2023 Years End donations be the highlight of 2023.YOU can make the difference with a simple donation of $62.00 or more in December.
